Before you start
The address is burgesscraft.party on every platform. The current version is shown on the home page.
Whitelist required: You must be on the whitelist to join. Fill out the short whitelist application form first.
Java Edition (Windows, Mac, Linux)
- Open the Minecraft launcher and start the version the server runs, which is shown on the home page.
- Choose Multiplayer, then Add Server.
- Enter any name, and burgesscraft.party as the server address.
- Choose Done, select the server and choose Join Server.
No port is needed on Java.
Bedrock Edition on Windows
- Open Minecraft and choose Play, then the Servers tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Add Server.
- Enter any server name, burgesscraft.party as the address, and 19132 as the port.
- Choose Save, then select the server to join.
Bedrock Edition on iPhone, iPad and Android
- Open Minecraft and tap Play, then the Servers tab.
- Scroll down and tap Add Server.
- Enter any server name, burgesscraft.party as the address, and 19132 as the port.
- Tap Save, then tap the server to join.
Make sure Minecraft is up to date. Bedrock only works with versions the server supports.
Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch
Consoles don’t have a normal “Add Server” button, so you need a short workaround to reach custom servers. Use the method that matches your console.
Nintendo Switch (1 or 2)
Requires Nintendo Switch Online.
- On the Switch home screen open System Settings → Internet.
- Select your current network → Change Settings → DNS Settings.
- Change DNS from Automatic to Manual.
- Set Primary DNS to 104.238.130.180 and Secondary DNS to 8.8.8.8, then save.
- Open Minecraft and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Go to Play → Servers and join any featured server (The Hive works fine).
- A menu will appear. Enter the address burgesscraft.party and port 19132.
- Choose Save Server so BurgessCraft stays in your list for next time.
PlayStation 5
- Open Minecraft and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Go to the Friends / Social tab (usually top-right).
- Choose Search Friends and look up the gamertag BedrockConnect (try BedrockConnect1 or BedrockConnect2 if the first is full).
- Send a friend request / invite. Accept the invite you get back.
- Return to the Friends tab and look under Joinable Friends. Join one of the BedrockConnect bots.
- When the window appears, enter address burgesscraft.party and port 19132.
Xbox
- Open Minecraft and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Go to the Friends tab.
- Search for the gamertag BedrockConnect (or BedrockConnect1 / BedrockConnect2 if needed) and send a friend request.
- Accept the invite that comes back, then join the bot from your Joinable Friends list.
- Enter the address burgesscraft.party and port 19132 when prompted.
After the first successful join you can usually rejoin more quickly from the friends list or saved servers.
Trouble connecting?
- Can’t reach the server: check the address for typos, and on Bedrock check the port is 19132.
- Outdated client or server: update Minecraft, or use the version shown on the home page if you’re on Java.
- Server down: My router is acting up right now, so there may be some disconnects from time to time. Try again in 20 minutes or so. Otherwise I’m doing maintenance.
